Do you like to teach it to your students? And do you think that it is an effective way to teach English? I want to introduce it to wake up my sleepy students, editing Brain Pops in EBS.

My favorite group is ABBA. I like their song much. I like 'Andante',one of their songs, most. It reminds me to of relaxing and resting. Later I hope we have chance to sing together.
Pesonally, I like Queen' songs. But a little hard to teach them. My favorite pop songs are West life's songs. My love, uptown girls.... You raised me up
Hi Dave, First, I want to say that you are doing a great job in commenting on your classmates' blogs. In answer to your question, I change my favorite music every few weeks as my mood takes me to another song or musician. I do like to use music in class...maybe I can get you and your class to sing :)
I love inputting English pop songs in my class as I can have their attention by doing it. I always bring up the several phrases or sentences proper for the specific situation I am in. For example, before introducing the main part, I start with singing "I can show you the world", a part of the them song of "Aladin" and add " of the adjective superative". Why don't you try it and see how it works.
I usually like old pop songs. They are easy to understand and have a story in them. I like Queen's love of my life, Bohemian Rapsody, And the Beatles songs, Mr. Big's, Carpenters', and Maria Carey.
My favorite sone is "Shape of My Heart" sung by Sting. I love his voice and the lylics of the song. It's very philosophical. This song makes me think many things.
